CHAPTER FOUR

AXIOM NUMBER ONE

If we start with conflicting assumptions we will end with conflicting results.

AXIOM NUMBER TWO

If we decide we do not want conflicting results (such as nuclear war) we must re-start our thinking from the beginning from compatible axioms. We need not agree upon everything but we must give number one priority to those axioms upon which we do agree.

AXIOM NUMBER THREE

To solve a problem one treats its source... not its symptoms.

AXIOM NUMBER FOUR

We can enlarge our horizons if we want to.

AXIOM NUMBER FIVE

Believing something doesn't make it true. There are many beliefs but only one truth. Keep looking for the truth.

AXIOM NUMBER SIX

It is better to seek the truth together and build for the common good than to argue over conflicting historical beliefs and destroy each other.

AXIOM NUMBER SEVEN

Each person is entitled to his or her own beliefs until the truth is known but he or she must allow others the same right.

AXIOM NUMBER EIGHT

It is better to look forward together than to look at each other.

AXIOM NUMBER NINE

One must find the facts, filter the facts, then face the facts. One must think for himself or herself.

AXIOM NUMBER TEN

When others draw a circle that leaves one out, one must draw a circle that takes them in. One must take the initiative and keep smiling.

AXIOM NUMBER ELEVEN

One should be proud of one's faith, family, and friends; one's school, team, city, county, state and nation; one's customs, heritage and beliefs and defend them. But now in one's mind let's draw a larger circle and also be a human being. Be proud of one's whole world and work hard to make it better for all human beings and defend it against its enemies. This is the frontier challenge of our times!

AXIOM NUMBER TWELVE

Together we human beings must join forces now and launch an all-out battle against our common enemies! Our common enemies are war, hatred, poverty, illness, dishonesty, ignorance, prejudice, selfishness, bigotry, drug abuse, loneliness, littering, bad ideas, etc. It is really stupid to fight each other when we have all these other common enemies to fight together!

AXIOM NUMBER THIRTEEN

"OUR SIDE" is the "human side." Though for some more than others, we should care about all human beings.

AXIOM NUMBER FOURTEEN

An idea can be more powerful than the sword. There is no stopping an idea whose time has come. The time for everyone to join us on "Our Side" has come! Join "UP" and be a salesperson of World Peace!

AXIOM NUMBER FIFTEEN

An idea stands upon its merits rather than upon its source.

AXIOM NUMBER SIXTEEN

It is imperative to ask "where do we agree?"... and not "where do we disagree?"... Where we do disagree, "to each his own". It is all right to try to sell your ideas to others but not to impose them. Selling is easy if you believe in your product! World Peace needs you as a salesperson!

AXIOM NUMBER SEVENTEEN

The validity of a statement depends upon the validity of the axiom from which it stems.

AXIOM NUMBER EIGHTEEN

Solving one's own problems first better equips one to help others solve theirs.

AXIOM NUMBER NINETEEN

The state of the world is the sum total of the thinking of each person in the world. One's thoughts are either part of the problem or part of the solution. Starting with "Our Axioms", "Our Code", "Our Common Ground" and "Our Missions and Goal" and reviewing one's thinking along these lines can be a positive step in becoming a part of the solution.

AXIOM NUMBER TWENTY

Whoever or whatever made this world made all of it, not just our part of it.

AXIOM NUMBER TWENTY-ONE

It is the set of the sail and not the gale that determines the course of your ship.

AXIOM NUMBER TWENTY-TWO

The law of averages works if you do. Two of 22 works for me!

AXIOM NUMBER TWENTY-THREE

When one spends or donates his money, he is "voting" for that product,  that company, that charity, or that idea. Spend and donate wisely. United People could use some of your surplus to help us sell world peace.

AXIOM TWENTY-FOUR

The time has come now for all human beings to think "Our Side" instead of "your side" and "my side."
